Default Camera for taking product photographs?

    Hai

I need to take photographs of our products - which are electronic Circuit boards and small devices which can be placed on a table top.

Purpose is to post on web and sometimes brochure print.

Budget is 10k to 15K max.

I think in my budget SLR will not fit and I am a newcomer to photography also. So in that case what you call 'point and shoot' cameras may be my only choice. Is that the case?

Can such small digital cameras meet my purpose? Can such cameras help me to shoot some small reasonable quality product demo videos also?

Please suggest possibilities in my case.
    Thank you.

btw - What is the real difference between pictures taken by a SLR and normal point and shoot?

    Any comparison photographs available?

'Quality of photo' is the difference I presume. But any example pictures?

Canon D3000 or something is an SLR available for Rs23000/. What about that?

Well as per my experience, I would like to suggest you to go for sony cybershot with 12mega-pixel resolution. This camera is one of the most sensitive camera I had ever came through
