Hi Admin,

You could consider a section for commercial members (with special offers) who would be willing to ship across cities in India. For example, in Kolkata I do not find any stores stocking up too many Panasonic Lumix cameras. Some time ago, I was looking for a Lumix, but did not find much here.

BTW which Lumix camera are you inetersted in buying?

At different times recently, I was looking for a Lumix FZ35 (megazoom bridge) and also a Lumix LX3. Neither was available in Kolkata including Panasonic brand shops who did not even know about the FZ35 (although it already appeared in the Panasonic India website).

The LX3, I understand, is a difficult camera to get, even abroad.

Well, I just bought the Nikon D3000, and I would like to get at least a prime lens for it and some software. Unfortunately cannot consider now the Lumix'es any more.

The Panasonic LX3 is on its way out. It is difficult to find it even in the US. It will probably be replaced soon by a new LX series camera.

The hot new camera from Panasonic is the New Lumix DMC-GF1 which uses the the Micro Four Thirds standard and has interchangable lenses..

Your Nikon D3000 is a great buy. You could consider either a Nikon AF-S 35mm f1.8 G or Nikon AF-S 50mm f1.4 G prime lens for your Nikon. Personally I would prefer the 35mm.

Thanks. I am also thinking that way. Only issue is reported CA in reviews of the 35 mm. In any case, I cannot afford any better. The 1.4 lenses are way too expensive.

Dear Asit,
Go for Nikkor AF 50mm /f1.8D. It is only Rs.6000. But too too good for the price. I use it with Nikon D70s. It becomes 75mm on D70s. But performancewise great.
